Now like most of you, all holidays and summer plans have come to an end and looking forward I can see cold mornings, dark evening and wet days ahead…how depressing is that?!! But there is one massive streak of silver lining here and that is OPPORTUNITY.
Winter often means less weddings, boozy bbqs and icecreams in the park, winter is an OPPORTUNITY to FOCUS. To spend more time on YOU.
But you need not face this alone! A lot of people struggle with motivation at this time of year to stay so arrange with a friend to go for a jog one dark morning before work or agree a time to meet them for a gym session or pilates class one evening. Plan out your week around your booked training sessions so that you know what you need to get done each day and don’t put your bum on that couch until it is done!
Fitness could actually bring you out of the dark this winter! This new routine will actually give you energy and a more positive spirit through the coming weeks- just think of all those lovely endorphin’s!
Stock up your fridge with loads of veggies and think of the warm winter soups and stews ahead. Time to swap the refreshing summer salads for warm winter ones and maybe plan to make some healthy versions of traditional winter dishes. Get excited about healthy winter food 😀
I will be posting a daily food diary for the next five days so that you can see what the beginning of my 10 week push looks like. Start a photo food diary for yourself too and feel free to email it to me if you want any advice or feedback. Aim for it to be as CLEAN and NUTRITIOUS as possible, but be honest- that way you can see by the end of the week how healthy you actually are and the tweaks that need to be made to budge that stubborn fat or to gain that glorious muscle.
Every Friday, take a torso picture of yourself in the mirror. Nothing is more motivating than seeing your body change.
