What exactly does the training involve? FSFC Training programmes incorporate all movements natural to us: sitting, lunging (striding forward), twisting, pushing and pulling. These movements evolve from light bodyweight exercises into increasingly challenging strength, flexibility and balance work.
Fitness means different things to different people. For some, being fit is to squat with ease. For others, it is to run 5km without taking a break, or walk on family outings all day without feeling any kind of discomfort. Magazines are full of images and ideal lifestyles that shape our conception of what it means to be fit. But what really matters is that you are fit for all that you want to do in YOUR life.
A basic level of fitness is to be free from pain in your day-to-day life. Often, our discomfort is so consistent that we fail to acknowledge it and only when those daily aches and pains are eased that we realise how uncomfortable life was before. The better we feel in our bodies, the more energy we have and thus all relationships and commitments benefit. Life becomes richer.
A strong body needs a strong heart. We achieve this through short bursts of activity which will make you puff and pant but will ultimately leave you energised for the rest of the day. Bodyweight work is the foundation of all your workouts. From this foundation the sky is the limit, as your body is introduced to free weights, boxing, TRX suspension training, kettlebells, swissballs, and so much more! Exercises are selected carefully, and will cater to the gains YOU want to make.
