Why choose a personal trainer?

Having a Personal Trainer means that all your good intentions actually happen! The time you spend exercising is designed for maximum benefit and maximum results!  It is fun too

Why do I need a personal trainer?

Life is busy so outsourcing your fitness regime is one less thing to think about. Book the sessions in your diary and you are good to go!  Whatever your goals, your Personal Trainer will help you get there.

Will a personal trainer help me lose weight?

A Personal Trainer will help you exercise regularly & build muscle. Both of these help you reduce fat stores in the body and make you feel good at the same time. Diet is also incredible important in your weight loss journey.

How many personal training sessions do I need?

Your body needs at least 3 months of consistent exercising to see change. Remember, it is about long-term lifestyle change in both your activity and what you eat that changes your body.

How many times should I be training every week?

We would advise a minimum of two sessions, at least one of them needs to be with a personal trainer. This momentum helps you to maintain high motivation levels as you see your body become stronger  & energy levels improve.

Do I need a bespoke personal training plan?

A training plan adapted to your specific needs is beneficial, will be at your best when your body is balanced. Your PT can help identify what you need to focus on to achieve your goals.

Where do I find a personal trainer?

Look online and look for recommendations. Nothing speaks louder than real experience from people that you know. But ultimately, you need to find the right trainer for you so try different ones until you are happy!

How much does personal training cost?

Personal training costs anywhere from £25 per hour to £70 generally. It will depend primarily on location, training facilities & the experience &  qualifications of your personal trainer.

Are personal trainers covered by insurance?

Yes they will either have their own insurance to work independently or their employers if working for a health and fitness centre/gym.

What are personal training rates?

Personal Training rates vary from trainer to trainer and also depend on where you live. Personal Training in Leamington spa varies from cheap trainers offering £20 per hour (sometimes cheaper if group sessions) to £60 if trainers are more qualified or are specialists in a certain area.

Can I book a personal trainer without a gym?

Yes, some Personal Trainers provide training in your home (like Free Spirit Fitness Culture). This means that you don’t need to go to a gym or have a membership to workout! It is possible to do full body workout which can help you lose weight at home.

Are there personal trainers for women?

Some Personal Trainers only work with women or some women just prefer to work with a female personal trainer because they feel more comfortable with that arrangement. Ultimately, it is important that you can relax and enjoy your workouts!

Can Yoga help with anxiety?

Yes! Yoga can help with anxiety, much research has been done to show the benefits that yoga can have on your mental health. Yoga works primarily with your breath and this alone has a big impact on your nervous system helping to reduce stress.

Will Yoga tone me?

Yes, medium to strong yoga will strengthen your body. A more toned appearance is achieved by gaining muscle. It also helps you manage stress and regulates your hormones: this can have a big effect on your relationship with eating and food. The combination can help your body find its natural weight.

Will Yoga help me lose weight?

Yes Yoga strengthens the body and regulates your hormones. When you feel calm and in control of your life then you are less likely to do the habits that can lead to weight gain. Moving regularly is fantastic for your metabolism!

Will Yoga make me more flexible?

Yoga can help you improve your flexibility as it involves regular stretching and mobilising your body. It is important that you practice regularly in order for improvements to be made as it is a long-term journey to improved fitness and health.

Does Yoga help with stress?

Yoga is amazing for stress because it is just you, your body and the mat. This means that you can forget about your worries and concentrate on how you are feeling and how you are moving. It is fantastic for reducing anxiety and for coping with depression or low mood too.

Yoga is good for you because it improves both your mental and physical health. It teaches you to listen to your body whilst strengthening your core. It encourages breathing techniques and meditation, which are great for stress reduction and bringing your body to balance.

Do I need a mat for Yoga at home?

It helps to have your own mat as this cultivates the practice of rolling your own mat out and showing up. Your mat is the space you have created to make time for you and to take care of yourself, it is the platform for your own sweat and tears: a place where you can just be you.

Which Yoga style is best for me?

If you are new to yoga, I would recommend starting with a hatha yoga class or a vinyasa flow for beginners. From here, you can try different types and over time you will find classes that suit you.

What time of day is best to do Yoga?

First thing in the morning or the evening is a great time for a yoga practice. It is a great way to start the day and then you can concentrate on the day ahead. It is also a really nice way to switch off from your working day too so there is definitely benefit to both! Try both and see which you prefer.

How many times a week should I practice Yoga?

You will feel more benefit from yoga if you practice at home or go to yoga classes two or more times per week. Some people feel better doing a daily practice if your lifestyle allows the time.

Yes yoga is safe in pregnancy but it is advised that you wait until the second trimester if you haven’t done it before. I would advise starting yoga a few months before you start trying for a baby if you want to do it throughout pregnancy.
