“I love working with people who think yoga isn’t for them; I always say that if you have a body and a pair lungs, then it could be exactly what you need.”

Since the early 1990s, I’ve been practicing yoga, and since 2013, I’ve been teaching it. Over the years, my approach has evolved to focus on how yoga can support modern lifestyles for everyone, regardless of their perceived ability or flexibility.

In addition to my initial 200-hour yoga teacher training, I’ve pursued further qualifications in Kids Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga, Menopause Yoga, Long Covid training, and more recently, Therapeutic Yoga for burnout and chronic illness.

I especially love working with people who think yoga isn’t for them and seeing them move with joy and appreciation of their bodies. I believe healing begins with self-compassion, and I always say that if you have a body and a pair of lungs, yoga is for you.

I find the brain-body connection crucial for mental health and love witnessing the transformative effects of yoga sessions that involve deep stretches and "stealthy" strength practices."

My teaching emphasises adapting yoga to the student’s needs, addressing physical, emotional, and mental struggles. I find the brain-body connection crucial for mental health and love witnessing transformations after sessions that involve deep stretching, functional movement, and ‘stealthy’ strength practices. Our bodies are designed for diverse movements, yet modern life often limits our physical activity.

I enjoy helping people maintain their favourite activities as they age, such as sports, playing with grandchildren, or enjoying nature. Yoga is perfect cross-training for life, enhancing everyday tasks and managing stress through techniques like slow breathing. If you want to move with ease and confidence or need tools to handle stress better, I can help.

What you can expect from training with me:

1) Enhanced mobility (and more access to LIFE!)

2) Joyful movement

3) Breathing practices

4) A soothed nervous system

5) Tension and stress relief

Whatever brings you to yoga, I can assure you that the benefits will be beyond what you ever imagined and that I can tailor your practice to your needs on any particular day. It is amazing how we can flourish when we start working with the body and tuning in to what we really need.

See you on the mat,
