I contacted Victoria in November of 2015. We met and discussed my past experience of diet and exercise, my work, lifestyle, what I wanted to gain from working with a personal trainer and my attitude towards training. My goals were to gain muscle, lose fat, generally feel fitter and maintain the battle against the aging process.
I’ve periodically felt the need for a personal trainer to motivate me and help me gain the most from training sessions. This would be the fourth time I’d used one. At the conclusion of our meeting, Victoria decided that Calvin Moore would be the best fit for me. I was initially disappointed since I’d been impressed by what I’d learned about Victoria from her website and hoped to work with her personally. However, Calvin is by far the best personal trainer I’ve ever worked with. He is a highly likeable and personable young man who catered each session we completed to my needs and abilities and always pushed me to use the proper techniques, lift heavier, move faster and recover more quickly.
In a quiet, gentle manner when he told me rest time was over, I knew it was and when he told me to complete more reps, I believed that I could. It was always clear that he had dedicated time between our sessions to thinking about what we’d do next in order to build on past progress. Our sessions always ended with me feeling that I’d got value for money, achieved some new goal and made the most of the time we’d spent together. Other people who saw us training at the gym we used also positively commented on Calvin’s methods and the changes they saw in me.
Victoria oversaw our work and over the first month or so I also completed food diaries for her. Without being overly strict or judgemental she guided me towards subtle changes I could make to help me with weight loss. On occasions when Calvin wasn’t available Victoria provided a replacement who worked to an equally high standard. I couldn’t recommend Victoria and her team more highly.
