Saturday Yoga Class

Yoga Class in Leamington Spa followed by coffee and refreshments

What is it? A 75 minute Yoga Class, 10 minutes meditation and cake and coffee (a marriage made in heaven!)

When is it? Saturday 6th April 10am

Where is it? Offchurch Village Hall, Offchurch, Leamington Spa, CV33 9AL

What will I need to bring?

The 75 minute vinyasa yoga class will start at 10am sharp so please arrive 5-10 minutes before to set up your station with everything you need. Feel free to bring your own yoga mat if you have one, blocks and straps will be provided 🙂

What does the yoga class involve?

The class is titled “moving with confidence” and we will explore within the class how repetitive movement sequences get easier as your confidence builds with each repetition, offering you the opportunity to achieve a smoother and more mindful transition. Whilst the poses have an array of benefit to both the emotional and physical body, the transitions between the poses and connecting with the movement that happens between the poses has much to offer too. In a busy (and often stressful) world, there is something incredibly meditative about focusing thought on simple body movements and absorbing the sensations that come with it. What is going on in my body? How does that make me feel? How does approaching a transition with more confidence change my experience of it?

Is it beginner yoga?

The class is perfect for both a beginner yogi and more experienced practitioner wanting to add more depth and richness to their practice. As there will be repetition, you can also use the material to improve or start a home yoga practice if this is something that appeals to you.

Yoga was initially created to prepare the body for meditation. It was thought that after the physical yoga practice, achieving both physical and mental stillness was more accessible. In this vain, we will embrace 10 minutes meditation after the yoga practice! There has been much research about the benefits of meditation and I think small pockets of stillness really benefit our mental health.

After class, there will be coffee, tea and flapjack provided! Oats are so scrummy for the body after a good sweat and provide lots of fantastic protein for the body – it will tide you over till lunch at least! You can catch up with your fellow yogis and maybe even make some new friends. Staying for drinks and refreshments is optional, if you need to scoot off then you can do so and we will not be offended at all 🙂

Is the Yoga near me?

There is plenty of free parking in the village hall car park or alternatively you can park on village street and walk down.

There is a maximum of 12 places available, as I prefer to teach smaller groups so that I can adjust you all and provide support where it is required.
