Mellow Yoga (15 mins)

So he we are in a third lockdown! I don’t know about you but every lockdown seems to have arrived with its own difficulties and each one has been a very different experience despite very similar living conditions. This third lockdown feels tiring mentally and I think moral on a national level, is the lowest it has ever been. The periods where you can’t see people or can’t work or access the support you need for a higher quality of life are long and so I feel it more important than ever to keep your eyes only a couple of feet ahead: looking to the day ahead and no further! As they say – one day at a time we will get through this.

I have uploaded for you here a sequence from my new online yoga course Yoga21 🙂 The class is called Mellow Yellow and it aims to nourish the body and soul, connecting you to your foundations and that all important breath work. I urge you in these times of change and dis-ease to find comfort in things that benefit your health. You will feel better for it both in the short term and in the long term.

Let go of any pressures that you are putting on yourself and do instead what serves your wellbeing. Whilst some people might feel the need to push and sweat mixing cardio with tough yoga sessions, other people might feel that they do well with a gentle stretch session making some time and space for themselves. I designed Yoga21 with this in mind and therefore the emphasis is on showing up to practice 3-5 times a week and then selecting from a variety of classes what might suit you best that day. We need some control right now, autonomy empowers our lives and our fitness journeys too.

If you enjoyed this then Yoga21 is for you! Each week it builds up, helping you establish a regular habit of practicing yoga. You can select energising, restorative or mellow yellow sessions. They also vary in length so you can choose the length that suits you or even do a couple back to back.

This course empowers you to take control and gives you all the structure and support to make your efforts successful.
