Why good food is pretty food!

Avoiding high quantities of beige…

I have noticed recently how I like to make each and every meal look pretty. There is definitely something in taking pride in what you put in your mouth looks like. This makes sense logically as we only naturally tend to engage with things that do appeal to our senses. For example, would you get in a bath of water that had a nasty smell or looking grosse? Would you touch a flower that looked slimy? Food is about nutrition first and foremost but is it not also about smell, touch, sight and taste?

We are in an era of beige food! Processed food is all bland in colour- take for example a chicken burger and chips…everything from the burger-to the bread – to the chips are all shades of neutral nothingness providing you with nothingness nutrition too. Keep food colourful and enjoyable!  Eating healthy isn’t about a tomato, cucumber and lettuce salad…dry. Take pride in what you eat and make it as beautiful as you want to be 😀 Colour rich food is rich in antioxidants which are needed when trying to fight the fat!!!
