There is no doubt that after working our stomach muscles we feel immediately better and more confident about our middle areas! We walk taller and put our jeans on with a smug satisfaction that WE HAVE CORE MUSCLES and that they are working for us. You are not alone if you struggle to “activate” your stomach muscles on demand or even if you struggle to feel them working doing certain exercises. Different exercises work for different people! The workout below is a combination of exercises that our clients really enjoy and feel the benefit from.
What equipment do I need?
For this workout you need a swissball! Make sure you have the right size for you – of you are under 5’5 I would recommend a 55cm ball and if you are over 6 foot then a 75cm ball. Anywhere inbetween the two and a 65cm will be perfect 🙂 Blow it up so it is nice and firm. A small weight that weights 2-5kg will also help you get the most from this workout.
Will working out like this regularly help me lose weight?
Staying active and working out regularly makes it easy to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Weight loss requires quite a large calorie deficit though of about 500kcal a day so unless you are working out for six hours per week, you also need to adjust your eating habits to achieve weight loss. My clients have commented that it is much easier to eat well when you are training because you feel more focused on healthy living.
Stronger muscles also mean that you will feel better in your body every day! People who train regularly tend to also move better, have increased energy and feel happier in general. Working out does wonders for stress levels and self confidence!

Here is your PURE abs workout. The great thing about online training is that you can pause the workout at any point if you need to! Take a little rest and then just press play and get back to work as soon as you can. Remember to take it steady. Nothing should ever be painful! It may be hard or uncomfortable but if you feel pain then stop immediately and do an alternative exercise that doesn’t hurt. Be prepared to work hard and enjoy the BURN
